DPV_, DPVNotes_, and DPVExt_ field information

DPV® & DSF2®Flags Purpose:

DPV and DSF2 flags indicate characteristics associated with an address that should be considered when deciding to mail.
DPV =Y means the primary and secondary validated, but depending on what you are mailing (packages versus letters, for example) you might need to consider the flags listed below.

In addition to using the DPV Vacant flag, the No Stat reason codes (below) bring more clarity to deliverability. Package shippers should check the flags for potential delivery conditions, especially for a Business address.

If the DPV_ field contains a "Y" as the FIRST character, the address is DPV Confirmed and exists.

"N" indicates that the address could not be confirmed.

"S" or "D" indicate a confirmed address with exceptions, as you can see in the description listed below.

DPV_ field contains five characters (to see all five characters, pull down Edit to Fields, then change the width of DPV_ to 5. Click OK then click Yes, and validate your records.
