“Total Processed” that appears on the “NCOALink Processing Summary Report” will not normally match the “ZIP+4/DPV Confirmed” Total count.
Here is why:
1. The CASS Certificate represents Address Standardization results and has nothing to do with the “Names” associated with the addresses.
2. The NCOALink Processing Summary report has everything to do with the “Names” that are associated with the Standardized ZIP+4/DPV Confirmed Addresses.
3. The “ZIP+4/DPV Confirmed” Total Count will always represent the number of records that have been ZIP+4/DPV Confirmed.
4. The “Total Processed” that appears on the NCOALink Processing Summary Report will always represent the total “Name and ZIP+4/DPV Confirmed” Addresses.
5. The USPS should NEVER REJECT A MAILING IF THE TWO TOTALS ARE DIFFERENT.
