Direct SQL Server Access

When talking to tech support some months back I was told that Accuzip would be able to directly access data from SQL Server some time this fall / winter. I need to clean huge address lists, 60-100 million names and the current limitations of ~3-4 million addresses at a time is a PITA. Does anyone know if / when this capability might be available?

SQL Connectivity

We are still in the developement phases of the ODBC connectivity module. It will likely be released in the 2nd phase release of
AccuZIP6 5.0. The first phase of AccuZIP6 5.0 should be released by year end so it will likely be after that which will be early 2007.

How is this coming along?

The ODBC connectivity module is still in development. We don't have an exact release date but it definitely is a feature that we will be supporting in a future release of AccuZIP.

Is ODBC ready yet ?

I am a consultant working with a company that has a process that uses Accuzip. Their data is stored in MS Sql server and currently they have a complicated export from SQL to a Comma Delimited .CSV file (which Accuzip processes). I would like simplify their processing by accessing the SQL server directly from Accuzip.

I read here that this functionality was expected soon.
Is this possible yet ?

I'd also like to take the 'corrections' that are provided by Accuzip validation, and integrate them back into the SQL servers source data (via a temporary table which would be processed separately).

It would be great if I can get Accuzip to both read and write to tables stored in SQL server. This would simplify their processing significantly and add a great deal flexibility to Accuzip.

With FoxPro reaching End of Life, will you be migrating your storage engine to SQL ?

Thanks,
Aaron

Ok, so it's 5 years since the original post on this thread.

Is Accuzip any closer to allowing direct SQL access?

I know it's something my company is looking to do.

Any Progress

We are also interested in ODBC connectivity. Will this be a possibility, and when (ever)?

It was started in 2006, so I have to assume it is working now.

You would think so, but I don't see the option. I guess we would need someone from Accuzip to answer that.

Okay, I guess they still have 4 days left until this topic hits the 4 year mark. Nothing embarrassing about that, nothing…
