Title: Why did the USPS Database expire before the end of the month?
Edited: July 1, 2008

The National USPS Database is good for 105 days from the day they create the USPS Database. On the 106th day, the USPS Database expires. If you're no longer able to validate records because you're getting an error linking to the USPS Database, and you're getting this error right before a CD is about to expire, then chances are the USPS Database has expired.

The USPS Database is created on the 15th of each month. You receive a CD every two months, so the table below shows the date of the USPS Database and the CD date:

Date USPS Database is created CD Issue
February 15 April/May CD
April 15 June/July CD
June 15 August/September CD
August 15 October/November CD
October 15 December/January CD
December 15 February/March CD

When you receive an bi-monthly update DVD from AccuZIP6, install it immediately. By doing this, you run less of a risk of trying to validate records with an expired USPS Database.
