By default, the Show Duplicates feature runs the Duplicate Search on your entire database. If you want to Show Duplicates on just a selection of records, do this:

1. Have your selection of records on your screen.
2. Pull down the Select menu to Show Duplicates.
3. Uncheck the All Records box, located at the bottom of the Show Duplicates window.

If the All Records box is dimmed, then you had all of your records displayed immediately prior to entering the Show Duplicates screen. Close the Show Duplicates window, bring up your selection of records, then pull down Select to Show Duplicates again.
