Microsoft Access files cannot be opened directly in AccuZIP6; however, an Access
database can be exported into a format that AccuZIP6 will open. The following
instructions step you through converting a file from Access to a tab delimited
text file, which is a format supported by AccuZIP6.
- Make sure the database is open in Microsoft Access
- From the File menu, choose Save As/Export.
- Choose, To an External File or Database.
- In the Save Table window, click on the Save As Type pull down menu, and
choose Text Files.
- Make sure the file name is 8 characters or less, and has a .txt extension.
- Click Export.
- In the Text Export Wizard, choose Delimited Text, and click Next.
- Choose Tab as your delimiter, and click Next.
- Check the path name of your file, making sure the text file is being saved
to the folder of your choice.
- Click Finish
The text file created from this export can be opened in AccuZIP6 by choosing
Open List from the File menu. |
