Microsoft Access files cannot be opened directly in AccuZIP6; however, an Access database can be exported into a format that AccuZIP6 will open. The following instructions step you through converting a file from Access to a tab delimited text file, which is a format supported by AccuZIP6.

1. Make sure the database is open in Microsoft Access
   
2. From the File menu, choose Save As/Export.
   
3. Choose, To an External File or Database.
   
4. In the Save Table window, click on the Save As Type pull down menu, and choose Text Files.
   
5. Make sure the file name is 8 characters or less, and has a .txt extension.
   
6. Click Export.
   
7. In the Text Export Wizard, choose Delimited Text, and click Next.
   
8. Choose Tab as your delimiter, and click Next.
   
9. Check the path name of your file, making sure the text file is being saved to the folder of your choice.
   
10. Click Finish

The text file created from this export can be opened in AccuZIP6 by choosing Open List from the File menu.
