Title: Trouble Printing Barcodes on Tray and Sack Tags

When you install AccuZIP6, it is unnecessary to take any extra steps to print the barcodes on the tray and sack tags. However, if the barcode font for the tags is not installed or the printer driver is not set up correctly, the barcode could print as numbers, letters, and punctuation. This technote will walk you through installing the required barcode fonts and the adjustments that need to be make to your printer driver.

Installing the fonts:

  1. Exit the AccuZIP6 program.
  2. From the Windows Start button, select Settings, then Control Panel.
  3. Double-click on the Fonts folder.
  4. Locate the IDAutomationHI25L font and delete it.
  5. From the File menu, choose Install New Font.
  6. Browse to the AccuZIP6 5.0\Fonts\2of5\ folder.
  7. The IDAutomationHI25L font will appear under the list of fonts. Click Select All, then click OK to install it.
  8. Open the AccuZIP6 program, open the presort, and try to print the tags.

Adjusting your printer driver settings:

If you are using a Laserjet printer, follow the steps below to set up your driver for printing barcodes on the container tags.

  1. From the Windows Start button, select Settings then Printers.
  2. Right-click on the Laserjet printer and choose Properties.
  3. In the Properties window, click on the Fonts tab.
  4. Select the option, Print True Type as Graphics.
  5. Click Apply, then click OK.
  6. Close the Printers area, then go back into the AccuZIP6 program, open the presort, and print the tags.
