Search for duplicates using the basic method of comparing households, addresses, or people. Or, define your own duplicate detection method based on any field or group of fields in the database. Determine which record is to be kept, oldest, newest, most information, etc. Enable the handy A.K.A. Dictionary to locate common matches such as Bob to Robert or Bill to William.
Create a data sampling with Nth Select.
Extract a miscellaneous draw of records from a database to create a new smaller database using the handy Nth Select feature in AccuZIP6. Choose between extracting an Nth number, a percentage of the list or an exact quantity of records.
Format any field the way you'd like it.
The Format feature in AccuZIP6 allows you to modify the formatting of the data in your list. The Format feature also includes a handy dictionary that can be used to build a cross-reference for common acronyms, misspellings and case adjustments from upper to lower. For example, if your list included the company name Accuzip and you wanted to change the case in every occurrence to AccuZIP, you could use the dictionary. In the Format window, you can change the format of all or selections of fields with one pass.
Create complex searches with ease.
For more advanced searching such as the ability to search multiple fields and criteria, AccuZIP6 offers the Search Editor. The Search Editor allows a user to define their own search criteria. Search Filters can be as complex or simple as needed. There are over 100 Conditions to choose from when building a search criteria and any field in a database can be included The Search Editor does not have a limit to the amount of criteria that a user can search for in a single pass and Search Filters can be saved for later use.
Combine fields, extract data, all in One Step.
You can use the Command window when there is not a feature available in AccuZIP6 to do what you want with the data in your list. For instance, you may want to add a sequence number to your list, or create an output field that contains certain information about each record to create your own key for searching. There are many powerful uses for the Command window. To use this feature you do not have to be a programmer because we offer many resources to help you build Command Statements. Quickly find data on the fly.
AccuZIP6's Quick Find feature will find data in specified fields. You can search from left to right and the program starts looking for the data as soon as you start typing in the Find text box. If you check the Contains box then the program will look for records that have specific data within a field.
