If you're unable to generate a PDF on a 64 bit machine

The following instructions might help you use the AccuZIP PDF Converter on a 64 Bit machine:

1) Programmatically/Manually create a new local port (giving the port any custom name such as AmyuniPDF)
- Attach the PDF printer to the custom local port

To create create a new Local Port:
1. Open the Control Panel
2. Click Control Panel Home or Classic View.
3. Click Printer or Printers in the Control Panel Home view or Classic View respectively.
4. Right-click on “AccuZIP PDF Converter”, select “Run As Administrator|Properties”, then click Continue when prompted.
5. Click Ports
6. Click Add Port…
7. Select “Local Port”, then click New Port.
8. Give the Port a new name: PDFPort
9. Click OK, then Close
10. The new “PDFPort” should be checked. If not, check it.
11. Click Apply, then Close

2) We have also found that on some systems, creating a local port will cause a temporary file to be created in the windows\system32 directory when printing. This can also cause an issue similar to the one you are encountering when the users do not have access to the windows\system32 directory. Have an IT person provide read/write access to this directory.

3) Change the advanced printer properties by clearing the check box "Enable advanced printing features".

Clearing the check box for “Enable advanced printing features” can be accomplished by following these steps:
1. Open the Control Panel
2. Click Control Panel Home or Classic View.
3. Click Printer or Printers in the Control Panel Home view or Classic View respectively.
4. Right-click on “AccuZIP PDF Converter”, select “Run As Administrator|Properties”.
5. Click “Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster”
6. Uncheck “Enable advanced printing features”.
7. Click Apply, then OK.

A default printer driver has to be installed in order for this to work.
