Invalid .mpa permit number and .mpa Postage Payment Method

Post by Eric » Tue May 14, 2013 12:07 pm

"There is an invalid .mpa permit number and .mpa Postage Payment Method combination; the permit number must reference an active permit for the associated payment method at the .mpa Permit ZIP+4 code in the .mpa file."

When you email PostalOne aboutan error like this, make sure you give them the export of the Job Validation window as well as all of the maildat files in the presort folder, which can be compressed into a .zip file.

The error references your permit number and the ZIP+4. The permit number goes into the Mailing Statement Setup window of AccuZIP6 and the ZIP Code goes into the Presort Setup window, in the Mail Drop Setup area. The ZIP Code you enter must be the ZIP Code of where that permit is held. If it’s not, then you’ll get the error you received.

When you get this error, one thing to check is the C:\Program Files (x86)\AccuZIP6 5.0\iPresort\INI Defaults\Advancedsettings.ini file.

See if you have a line that reads:

VERIFICATION FACILITY ZIP+4=934229998

Then you may want to remove that line if it is not applicable to this presort.
